CATHEDRAL, ANNOUNCE THE “NEW ORLEANS TO HAITI RELIEF CONCERT”, A SPECIAL BENEFIT FOR THE VICTIMS OF THE HAITIAN
EARTHQUAKE.

16, 2010 – New Orleans, LA): Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, in collaboration with Christ Church
Cathedral announced today the “New Orleans to Haiti Relief Concert”, a special benefit concert for the victims
of the Haitian earthquake, this Friday, January 22 at 7pm at the Christ Church Cathedral at 2919 St. Charles Avenue.
Doors open at 6pm.
A minimum
donation of $25 is suggested; 100% of the proceeds will go to the Episcopal Relief & Development fund for Haiti. As the
international relief and development agency of the Episcopal Church USA, Episcopal Relief and Development is on the ground
in Haiti meeting such needs as food, water, shelter and medical care.

Port-au-Prince, the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti has set up a camp the size of a football field where thousands are receiving
food, water and other supplies as they become available. We welcome the chance to bring the generous people of New Orleans
together to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are just beginning the long journey toward recovery.”

Irvin Mayfield, Artistic Director of
the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and the Cultural Ambassador for the State of Louisiana and the City of New Orleans, has deep
affection for the people of Haiti where he spent time studying the musical connection between Haiti and New Orleans. “With
historical ties that bind us musically and culturally, New Orleans is a part of Haiti and Haiti is part of New Orleans”,
said Mayfield.
The spiritual concert will feature special guest artists and is aimed at providing New Orleans residents
with a dedicated vehicle to support those in need in Haiti.
Mayfield will play the Elysian Trumpet which has been designated a national treasure
by the President of the United States and serves as a living memorial to Irvin Mayfield Sr. and all those who perished in
the aftermath of Katrina.
