 April 22nd, 2008 To the people of New Orleans The Elysian Trumpet heralds the triumphant rebirth of the Crescent City. Created to represent the rich heritage of New Orleans, the trumpet celebrates the legendary giants of jazz and honors the unifying power of a genre that only America could have produced. This cultural treasure symbolizes the bold spirit of a determined and resilient people and is dedicated to all the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
